At Westfield State University, our history curriculum offers a comprehensive study of global societies and cultures, preparing you to understand the roots of social issues and modern challenges. Likewise, our philosophy minor explores classical and contemporary sources, and your philosophy courses will foster critical thinking about science, religion, ethics, and human knowledge. Every program provides perspectives and critical thinking skills valuable across a variety of professions—and offers profound insights into the human experience.

You will also have the opportunity for one-on-one contact with your professors through advising, individualized history courses, history internships, and self-directed study.
